Allied World Global Markets Expands Professional Liability Team in Australia

Allied World Assurance Company Holdings, AG (NYSE:AWH) announced today that Michael Herron was appointed Vice President, Professional Liability – Allied World Global Markets. Based in Sydney, Australia, Mr. Herron will be responsible for growth and development of the Company’s Australian Professional Liability business and will report to Ben Howell, Senior Vice President, Australia Country Manager and Head of Professional Liability Division, Asia Pacific.

Michael Garrison, Senior Vice President of Asia-Pacific for Allied World Global Markets commented “Michael brings significant industry experience and a proven track record in professional liability insurance. Mr. Herron has 22 years of experience in professional liability insurance. He has previously held regional underwriting management roles with global insurers, most recently based in Sydney at XL Catlin where he was Australasia Leader for Financial Lines.
