With a philosophy based around invoking delight through an optimised educational experience, Mr. Raza chose to become a part of the education sphere in confidence that he could spread his hopes for the sector. In his own words – “I feel strongly about the need for powerful educational experiences that nurture ethics, strengthen confidence, promote intellectual curiosity, and indeed enrich the lives of young people.” Mr. Raza has long since subscribed to the notion that most young people have the utmost capacity to find incredible forward momentum within schools, so long as the environment is conductive to learning. As such, he sought to develop an approach to teaching business and economics that encourages pupils to become the very best versions of themselves, both inside and outside of the classroom. He valiantly promotes the ideology that intellectual development should be viewed in tandem with emotional wellbeing, and that only when these two concepts operate in harmony can an individual truly achieve academic success. For seven years, Mr. Raza worked with UCL’s Curriculum and Pedagogy department to support initial teacher education, and became a proud contributor to the efforts that resulted in the department earning the number one QS rank among the world’s schools of education. It’s because of this venture that Mr. Raza has managed to play his part in further infusing Nexus International School (Singapore) with such an immense level of excellence .
