Jillian was appointed as a Justice of the Peace in May of 2010. Comber Consultants, with such an incredible figurehead for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal cultural heritage management at the fore, has made itself a leader in its industry. Additionally, the other members of the team are equally notable, with archaeologist David Nutley with specialist training and experience in maritime archaeology works closely alongside Jillian to provide innovative heritage management solutions. David also has skills in photography, photogrammetry, and GIS mapping. David’s primary research area is the predictive modelling of inundated Indigenous sites around Australia. This, his other research acumen, and his involvement with Comber Consultants is all evidence of his prowess in the field he has dedicated his professional career to - experience he brought to his role as a former Vice President and continuing member of the ICOMOS International Committee on Underwater Cultural Heritage (ICUCH), as well as to his role as the former President of the Australian Institute for Maritime Archaeology, (AIMA). He is the archaeological representative on the NSW Heritage Advisory Panel, as well as a part of the membership Committee of the Australian Association of Consulting Archaeologists and continues to serve AIMA through its Editorial Committee. Additionally, he is a member of the Australasian Society for Historical Archaeologist and the Australian Archaeological Association.
