We chat to owner, Sammi Barton about the salon and its customer-centric approach to beauty. Owned and operated by Samantha Barton (known to her clients and friends as Sammi) who established the salon thirteen years ago, Blush Boutique believes in a 360 approach to skin, beauty, and internal wellness, with its extensive range of services and products reflecting exactly that. From the moment a booking is made, Sammi and the team are already creating their perfect treatment and skin journey. “All treatments are inclusive of all the finer details as we don’t believe experience should be an upsell,” says Sammi. “We want every client to leave feeling listened to, educated, pampered, confident, and with a plan.” As a sustainable salon, Sammi and her team are committed to making all of the treatments offered as green as possible. Being part of the Sustainable Salons campaign empowers the entrepreneur to charge each client a small $3 green fee on their total service bill in order to implement the Sustainable Salons programme, where 95% of the waste produced during the client’s service is collected and recycled, and the proceeds are donated to community programmes including OzHarvest, as well as going towards research and development to find more repurposing and recycling options for salon waste materials. “This structure educates clients,” Sammi elaborates. “It calls for them to take responsibility for their choice to have a salon service and the footprint that will leave on the planet.” The Blush team may be small, but every member is passionate and like-minded. Sharing Sammi’s ethos of providing personalised services for clients and building a true connection with them in order to become fully immersed in their journey.
