Accommodation passes If you are an independent traveller who prefers to plan as you go while travelling around New Zealand, an accommodation pass is a great way to purchase good value accommodation. Kiwiway are pleased to bring you Golden Chain Motel and Go Kiwi Hotel Passes. These have been specifically designed for the independent traveller and offer a wide range of accommodation throughout New Zealand. Golden Chain Motels offer a range of self-contained, self- catering motels in most locations throughout New Zealand. Often a more economical option they may be located a little out of the city centre and therefore perfect for self-drive itineraries. Go Kiwi Hotels offer a pass product for a variety of hotels throughout New Zealand. The hotels are graded according to their star rating and rooms types and breakfast is an optional extra. Kiwi Holiday Parks offers a range of accommodation options from self-contained units to powered camp sites (for motorhomes). Ideal for the budget conscious traveller or those hiring Maui or Britz motorhome Flexible options with these pass products: There are two main options with these passes and you may choose to use a mix of both: Open dated vouchers You simply purchase an open dated voucher from us for the number of nights you require. We will give you a directory to go with these vouchers, so all you need to do is call ahead to that property, when you know where you would like to stay and make a reservation. You are also able to upgrade from your vouchered accommodation to a higher room type, or from blue to gold category, if you like by paying a supplement outlined in the directory to the property direct (unfortunately there is no refund if you choose to ‘downgrade’). Let us pre-book for you At certain times of the year, many motels are heavily booked due to peak seasons (summer or ski) as well as local New Zealander’s enjoying their own holidays! Therefore, we do highly recommend you allow us to pre- book your passes for you if you know your itinerary - especially from November to April and again any ski areas around July/August/ September. We can also just pre- book your first night if you prefer the comfort of knowing where you will be staying at the end of your long flight arrival into New Zealand! Both companies have branches located throughout New Zealand for your convenience and offer exceptional quality of vehicles as well as a high level of service to their customers.
