Windows Embedded Platform The familiar Windows environment allows operators to be more productive in less time. For machine builders, it allows the use of standard Windows compatible programs and development tools to add and extend the controls features for their specific application. High speed real-time performance is achieved by the addition of a real-time kernel extension allowing the processing power to be put to the best use on demand. Windows networking and Internet connectivity is standard via the 1Gbit LAN port. Windows extensive driver support makes the addition of USB devices like Printers, Cameras, Barcode Readers or Flash Drives, effortless. Full CNC Function All the AMC range of controls come standard with AMCore, ANCA Motion’s Open CNC Software platform. The CNC platform supports all standard M and G code functions and allows customisation and extensions to these functions. Ability to add custom cycles for drilling, tapping, piercing and other complex machine operations packaged as a single G Code mean the part program complexity can be greatly reduced. Features like Gantry control and Slave axis can be added at any time without any additional CNC hardware. The addition of Axis, Pitch, and Backlash compensation ensures that regardless of the machine design, the greatest accuracy can be achieved. Soft PLC The PLC functions on the AMC range are implemented as software so no additional hardware is required. The functions of the PLC can simply be extended using easy to learn structured text. The CNC software also includes all development and diagnostic tools required. The AMI5000 EtherCAT® Remote Pendant incorporates the latest EtherCAT® fieldbus technology, reducing the overall cable size and weight of the pendant to make it easier to manoeuvre and operate.
