Jan23360 Maz (Marylin) Schirmer is the mastermind behind Creatrix®, the revolutionary breakthrough healing programme that has been developed exclusively for women and is unlike any other programme on the planet. Utilising unique, powerful tools created especially for the female psychology, Maz and her company, UN-Institute of Women™ (UIW) are on a mission to certify life coaches, practitioners, and female leaders, to use Creatrix® (and Transformology®) as their programme of choice, so they can achieve exceptional results. Maz Schirmer has come a long way to get to where she is today, and she continues to prove that anything is possible as long as you have the right tools, understanding, education, and support in place. Maz has had her share of trauma throughout her life, and it was when she was in her thirties, after a wakeup call, that she took herself from being an unemployed checkout operator and abused single mother living in hiding with her four small children, to achieving what most women could only dream of. At the age of 32, Maz’s wakeup call came in the form of an epileptic fit, and it was this that caused her to turn her life around on a dime. This ‘wakeup call’ or ‘life awakening’ moment, triggered by shocking news or a near-tragic event, is a natural phenomenon of ‘coming into awareness, decision making, or realisation of the gravity of the fragility of mortality’. In that moment, Maz’s life flashed before her eyes, and things haven’t been the same for her since. She went on to achieve wealth and freedom, becoming number 1 in 10 countries in her own Fortune 500 company as a business woman, travelling the world and training women leaders in business success and personal development. However, she came to realise that something much deeper was sabotaging women, no matter what herself or her fellow top trainers taught, demonstrated, or role played to them – It was their selfdoubts and insecurities that sabotaged them most. Maz realised even the best of the best programmes were not sustainable for at least 8-9 (if not more) of the women they trained. Even after 15 years of bringing them the best or newest mindset shifting programmes available. Maz walked away from all of it when she realised the teachings from even the best-selling success authors of all time – such as goal setting, plan your work and work your plan, compartmentalise, consistency being the keys to success – were designed by men, and that they simply don’t work for most women. Successful women would share that despite this coaching not working for them, they were still teaching it to others, because they were told they were exceptions to the rule, like Maz was, and that they would be all the more successful if they did what they taught. From Maz’s experience of ‘empowerment’ methods, timeline processes, EFT, other tools including NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), and even using body language, these originated when it was mostly men who needed them, and so they were the ones who came up with them. Maz realised the designs of these training processes didn’t work well enough to sustain in women – and that they can also cause damage to women’s nervous systems! – yet they are still taught to them, and then these women go on to teach them to other women, just like Maz had been doing. Body language experts teaching these haven’t consulted with women to understand how these may differ if applied to a woman. For example, crossed arms meaning closed body language – telling women to never fold their arms in business dealings, although it can cause them to feel exposed or even unsafe. There are many reasons specific to women for doing this, such as being cold, protective, hiding breasts more visible in the cold, holding them up, or pulling them together. Maz has proven how ineffective these teachings are for women by identifying that there really is a biological difference based on the reproductive organs a woman is born with; these affect the female brain, including hormones and mind processes. The truth is these one-size-fitsall processes and teachings simply don’t fit female needs, Most Innovative Female Empowerment Program 2023: Creatrix®

with Maz comparing them to trying to run Android software on an iPhone – It just doesn’t work. Women are complex, intricate beings, and often these traditional techniques don’t get to the root cause of their issues, because they are simply not designed for the way their minds work. That’s why Maz sought about creating her own programme in Creatrix®. Now with more than 15 years of incredible international success and ground-breaking research under her belt, Maz’s sciencebacked and proven Creatrix® process is a world-first that understands women from the inside out and enables them to heal from their past traumas. For her work and the extraordinary impact it continues to have, she has been recognised with multiple accolades including three International Stevie Awards in 2017 – Entrepreneur of the Year, Women Helping Women, and Most Innovative Company – and within the 2018 Women’s Economic Forum Awards for her impact on women. A huge part of the work Maz does is as founder and owner of Institute of Women International™ (which only this month has rebranded to UN-Institute of Women™), and she is joined by women who are equally as passionate about helping others to overcome their trauma and feel empowered. She currently has 220 Transformologist® coaches from around the world who are trained and supported to deliver the Creatrix® process. As a result of the earn-while-youlearn Creatrix® Transformology® study programme, UIW’s coaches can confidently take clients through the Creatrix® process and transform their lives, through offering the Creatrix® programme to women as a service. Maz is also the author of “The MAZ Factor”, in which she tells her “gutsy”, rags-to-riches, true story. This is in addition to having penned “Learn the Secret of Unblocking Women” which teaches readers how to boldly ‘out-do any counsellor, therapist, or coach and guarantee lasting results for female clients’. Other outstanding resources available from Maz are ‘The CREATRIX® method, 40 Women, 100 Issues, 1 Solution’ in which 40 women share how Creatrix ®️ transformed their lives through Maz’s Creatrix® programme, the modality checklist all coaches should read before studying any programmes to empower women; and the step-by-step guide, “20 Creative Ways to Get Coaching Clients”. All of these, and more, are available online and give a thorough insight into empowering women with impact. One Creatrix® Transformologist®, Lisa Carruthers shares her experience: “Since starting at the Institute Of Women International™ in August, I have found a group of powerhouse women, and an amazing place that totally supports me in every part of how I feel, to how I learn, and to how I can grow. “The Creatrix® Transformology® training course provided here is extremely professional and real, well planned, and has an outstanding amount “It’s time we had something that wasn’t mostly left-brained and formatted logically, spatially, and sequentially to solve the creative and emotionally charged problems that are common in females,” says Maz.

of resources, information, continued trainings, and classes that are specifically designed for women to grow even further – I love this aspect so much! Maz, you have thought of everything!” Also a Creatrix® Transformology® coach, Josien HannemaRemmelts says, “Until this day I’m so happy and grateful that I’m educated by the IOWI. Creatrix® has changed my life and I love being a Transformologist® for four years now! Thanks to the very complete and profound training that I had from IOWI four years ago, I now have a flourishing and successful business which empowers other women. I truly love to set other women free from their blocks and limiting beliefs. Thank you, Maz and IOWI for making this possible for me!” So, what is Creatrix® exactly? Creatrix® was developed using epigenetics, the newest form of science that proves genes don’t necessarily determine one’s destiny, meaning everyone has the power to change the outcomes in their life. Maz hypothesised that if the process of a family pattern was passed on within the uterus of a woman, perhaps she would need to go to the depth of her own female intelligence that resides deeply within. If only this was accessible, Maz wondered, to re-educate the woman deeply from the inside, then she could rewrite her own destiny as a way to clear the pattern. Maz states, “You possibly inherited what your ancestors stressed about, ate, and were exposed to internally and externally. With Creatrix®, you can undo damage that is causing negative cycles to recreate your destiny and especially that of your children and the energy you supply to your current life.” Combining this science, her hypothesis, and learning that the unconscious mind can’t tell the difference between self and others, Maz was able to construct Creatrix® into a self-educational and healing experience. The high level of safety built into the Creatrix® framework design allows this experience to happen so profoundly, because nowhere in the process, is the client herself in the scenarios within the story that her mind creates to represent what needs to learned. It’s the self-wisdom that elevates the woman to feel whole and complete, as if her past is no longer self-esteem destroying. Maz claims Creatrix® gets irreversible results due to the intuitive and emotional intelligence that comes about as the woman accesses her own inner guru, while the Transformologist® is merely guiding her, giving her the questions to ask herself. It may sound too simple, yet it lasts like nothing else. This re-education process causes a new level of understanding that, although the woman may have heard it before, is this time different due to the design of Creatrix®. This process can be used as the gold standard in personal development for women specifically, or any time a woman needs deep wisdom, even to activate creativity, or quieten head chatter. The real magic that causes the entire process to flow so effortlessly for women is the simplicity of utilising the power of imagination – one of the oldest ways of learning – through story, using metaphoric characterisation and perceptions which acknowledge that DNA is a malleable story that works with the plasticity of the brain to cause it to think differently. Creatrix® has the elements of a spontaneous, natural wake up call moment, just as Maz had experienced once, in which all who experience one report they never think the same again, being able to achieve what they couldn’t before as well as feeling stronger on the inside. In the shock moment, most will say it’s as if time stood still, the world went silent, and their faculties were momentarily suspended, while they gained a new value of life and the reasons for changing for the better… and the old thinking has disappeared. So, whilst reflecting on mortality, they reset to a healthier perspective on life, themselves, others, and the world. Time, faculties, or outside interference being suspended (helped by the Transformologist®) keeps the woman well disassociated and disconnected from her current painful reality, long enough to realise what she must to entirely shift the thoughts, beliefs, values, and even her attitude, all at once. Why most women love being a Transformologist® is that they get to witness and skilfully guide women to their own unravelling and realising, which makes complete sense to women, even if not to anyone else. They don’t have to learn how the brain works, or understand much more beyond the job of facilitating and guiding, because the method works by them staying out of it, not advising, teaching, or diagnosing. It’s that women are able, with a professional Transformologist® coach, to solve problems within a unique non-sensical story created by their own mind, which causes them to discover they have their own inner guru, accessible through Creatrix®. It’s this unique approach and depth of revelation, whilst temporarily suspending reality, that makes Creatrix® a fast, safe, long-term, natural solution to help women break negative cycles once and for all. Maz says, “It’s like the cells and DNA are learning from the issues and stresses, remembering their natural design was a blueprint of a content, happy, thriving person at one point, which stops the pattern of the ‘issues’ and ‘stresses’ even being able to be triggered at all any more that’s breaking the generational cycles, creating better, cleaner DNA for generations to come.” While the medical world is in search of a drug solution, Creatrix® is proving drugs aren’t necessary if a woman is helped early enough. It is entirely organic, as well as a fast, painless, liberating, powerful, deep, and enjoyable experience – and while raising one’s own emotional intelligence, Bliss Photography by Leah

it increases the ability to trust intuition, too. The unconscious mind is educated to heal traumas that stem back as far as being a small child, wiping out the issues that have been stopping the client feeling great about herself and setting her free of her mental and emotional blocks. As a result, she is able to take control of her life. Maz describes Creatrix®’s cuttingedge methods and teachings as “the future of psychology and personal development for women”, encouraging clients to work with their unique female design, rather than against it, to achieve deep levels of fulfilment and success. The process instantly transforms a woman from the core, enabling her to let go of her past and resolve insecurities and inner conflict so she can heal and reframe in order to be more productive and find inner peace. In some cases, Creatrix® has even cured pain syndromes such as fibromyalgia Creatrix® is so groundbreaking that it was featured in a full cinematic documentary entitled “Impact” which was released in 2019 and is now available to watch on Amazon Prime and Apple TV. For the film, three people were selected to receive coaching from the world’s best coaches for 12 months, and two of these had such deeply rooted emotional issues that the film’s director asked Maz to fly over to them to provide her coaching – otherwise the entire documentary on coaching would not have been able to proceed. They found Maz online when searching for someone who specialised specifically in fast emotional healing, was confident, willing to fly to L.A. within the month, but also had a sound, professional reputation, only five-star reviews, and hundreds of videos of evidence that she could achieve what she promises to. She did just this, set these women free of their blocks, and that’s how Creatrix® came to feature in a full featured documentary, and save “I can’t imagine anything more fulfilling or rewarding,” Maz gushes. “I live and breathe training women in Creatrix® so they can change women’s lives for the better by changing the mindset, thoughts, insecurities, and emotions that don’t serve them, like magic.” the film in the process. Now, we find out what the Creatrix® experience is like from those who have been through it themselves. Leiza Mosley describes UIW as “a professional and innovative organisation led by women with heart, compassion, respect, and a desire to create profound support that enables women around the world to break through glass ceilings and achieve their dreams”. She continues, “Very thorough and leading-edge training to deliver its unique tools and techniques, with a high degree of efficacy.” Stephanie Serone shares, “Finding the Institute of Women International™ back in 2017 changed my life. Years of feeling anxious and depressed, seeking help from psychologists, doctors, and chronic pain specialists and not getting any better, I had lost hope in ever truly feeling happy again. The process called Creatrix® designed by Maz Schirmer completely freed me from my anxiety and depression in two sessions. I finally felt confident and happy and had my spark was back. “A few years later, I decided to train with the Institute and do the course to help other women feel the way I felt. The training and support were incredible and never stops. I am so fulfilled in my life, setting women’s hearts free with the help of the Institute of Women International™.” Michaela Macdonald says, “It is hard to describe an experience that is like no other, as you really don’t have anything to compare it to. Creatrix® is simply put as the best programme for women dealing with emotional issues, stress, or limiting belief. It is administered by women as we get it. It was designed by a woman who got it and it will continue to serve as the most appropriate healing for women in the future. If you haven’t heard about it, look into it now. If you have heard of it but haven’t done anything yet, do it now. It will be best choice you EVER make in your life.” Maz’s dream is to help 10 million women change their own destiny, through gaining enough coaches, leaders, and therapists to add Creatrix® to the top shelf of tools for women. As part of the programme, they access their own Creatrix®, so they become the evidence, and become role models of the power of the method. Jan23092 Born from a merger in 2015, Connect Staffing as grown from strength to strength through its dedication to a high standard of service, partnered with an indelible expertise in the recruitment space. We spoke with Director Paul Morrison to find out more on the back of its well-deserved recognition as the ‘Best Care & Hospitality Recruitment Agency’. Created from the combined history of Connect Health Services and Elite Hospitality Personnel, Connect Staffing has capitalised on the talent and expertise of both companies to forge its own path in the greater care and hospitality space. Today, nearing a decade of operation, Connect Staffing has cultivated a strong client base and reputation through its commitment to attaining the highest standards – which is, naturally, a key element of securing enduring success within the industry. Paul takes a moment to explain more of Connect Staffing’s history and how it has shaped its current reputation in the Australian recruitment landscape. “Connect Staffing was born from the merger of Connect Health Services (established in 2004) and Elite Hospitality Personnel (established in 2015). With over 15 years of experience staffing WA’s largest hospitality, healthcare, and aged care organisations, we retain a high-performing workforce because we don’t just fill positions, we help people find fulfilment at work.” Like many in the space, Connect Staffing’s leadership and team understand that the world of business is changing rapidly. Companies of all sizes need to be proactive, client-centric, dynamic, and agile to best navigate the swiftly changing industries they operate in. Recruitment is certainly no different, and in fact, must react to the fastest of developments. In this Paul agrees. “We are ambitious, forward-thinking, and open to change. Our drive for growth and progression is an attitude, not an endgame. We do what we say because we are only as good as our word. We are tenacious, persisting through adversity, learning quickly and always following through. We are partners, building relationships for the future, not just the present. We’re here for our clients’ challenges and successes, wins and losses, and approach every interaction with compassion, respect, and candour.” By every consideration, recruitment relies on clientcentricity. It relies on knowing your client’s needs, values, goals, mission. That takes time, and an understanding of how best to fulfil the recruiting criteria. Many newcomers into the space often overlook the importance of understanding a client’s individualism in favour of swift fulfilment of a position, which results in turnover. Those that have found success understand that finding the best person often isn’t simply a case of ticking the most boxes. But let’s talk more about the changing face of recruitment. It’s no secret that the pandemic changed the working environment – probably permanently. Connect Staffing Group has certainly kept apace of these movements and understands that there are more considerations to be made when it comes to finding the right person for the position, and equally, the right position for the person. “While research shows that most people covet, flexible working arrangements, few believe that it’s possible to choose when, where and how you work without sacrificing job stability and security, career progression or salary. In years gone by, many employers have viewed those who were engaged in flexible work as being less committed, reliable, and loyal than those willing to commit to fixed work locations and schedules. This undercurrent of mistrust between employers and their employees has meant that flexible workers were rarely given the same benefits and guarantees of job security. “Now, with changed market conditions and shifts in workforce demographics, employers are realising that to retain talent and remain relevant, they need to prepare for a future where autonomy over work schedules and locations is standard. Despite the recognition that flexible work is important for staff attraction and retention, there is still hesitation amongst organisations who are concerned that giving workers more autonomy may negatively impact productivity or further exasperate their staffing shortages. There is also the question of logistics of how to implement these new standards and normalise their use. We show both employees and employers that you don’t have to choose between flexibility and stability. We help them understand that flexible work is mutually beneficial and that it doesn’t mean sacrificing consistency or reliability.” Recruitment has changed, and business have changed to reflect the changing nature of the working world. redhotblue is a creative marketing agency located on the Whitsunday coast in regional Queensland, Mackay. Its team of 10 specialists deliver bespoke work throughout the region and across the nation, and have been recognised for their work with a number of prestigious awards across the business landscape and creative industry – including within APAC Insider’s Australian Enterprise Awards 2023. We got in touch with Founding Executive Director, Jody Lee Euler to learn more about this outstanding firm. Last year was a big one for redhotblue, for it reached the incredible milestone of 25 years in business, during which time it has evolved to meet the needs of the market, changes in technology, and delivery methods. It is recognised as an organisation that, despite its regional location, delivers work that sits head and shoulders with its city counterparts. This has been a key factor in the company’s success and the calibre of clients it has attracted over the past two decades. As a multi-facet agency, redhotblue provides clients a streamlined and consistent approach to all marketing needs. This includes marketing and communication strategies combined with execution of all creative, with the ability to take the seed of an idea or spot an opportunity not often considered and turn it into a success story. All work is produced by an exceptional team of professionals at the pinnacle of their careers and ranges from brand development and corporate materials, video production, social media management, digital communication, websites, advertising, and event concept and management. The agency serves a variety of clients, from start-up entrepreneurs through to national organisations with global presence, including fashion designers, engineers, government representatives, the mining sector, developers, estate agents, hospitality, scientists, and the beauty industry. The redhotblue team commences a client project with quality consultation, working closely with them to establish strong working relationships and gain a deep understanding of their business values and goals to ensure all strategies are achievable. Jody Lee Fuler says, “At redhotblue, creativity with purpose comes as standard. If you’re looking for an agency that can truly develop and execute a unique marketing message for any business, then there’s no team better equipped. However, it’s their ability to uncover and dissect the many layers of their clients’ businesses that sets them apart from those who take a cliché and obvious approach.” Her team live and breathe the ethos of ‘Intelligent Creativity’ – the perfect mix of their years of direct experience in the industry, proven success stories, invaluable knowledge, and a natural level of strategic thinking. Combine this with a desire to succeed from extraordinary designers who have mastered their craft and the ability to bring anything to life, and you start to understand what ‘Intelligent Creativity’ truly means. This goes hand in hand with the agency’s internal culture, one which Jody has been praised for on a regular basis throughout 25 years of operation. She tells us, “‘Create without Limitations’ has been the mantra of the business from humble beginnings in my parents’ rumpus room. This reminder is ever present in the form of a floor to ceiling graphic in the company boardroom for all to view.” She continues, “We are known as a dynamic, larger than life, colourful, and enthusiastic company who love nothing more than to turn visions into reality. This is not just in the sense of the work we produce for our clients but is also a large part of how I support each team member in their own dreams and desires.” An open plan studio allows for free-flowing conversation and rather than be locked away in her own office as many directors and managers are, Jody is immersed within the team. She makes it a point to truly get to know her team and what is important to them both in a professional and personal landscape. She is sure to provide flexibility to parents to allow them to feel they can succeed in their desired profession while balancing the needs of their families. And team members that wish to go on working holidays to other countries have remained a part of the business through the ability to Creative Agency of the Year 2023 - Central Queensland

Zoom daily. Random acts of kindness are not uncommon, either, not just from Jody herself, but from team member to team member. She comments, “An environment such as this provides a sense of belonging where people flourish and don’t feel replaceable. It is a business people want to be a part of.” When it comes to adding new people to the team, this isn’t something that redhotblue takes lightly, having worked so hard to build a strong reputation not only for the remarkable creative it produces, but as a business as a whole. While quality of work and skillset are needed to fit in with the team, high expectations, personality, and attitude are equally as important, if not more so. Jody states, “The most integral part of our work environment is being a good human, strong work ethic, a desire to succeed, and treat redhotblue and its team as if it were their own.” Thus, this dynamic team have a string of accomplishments as long as they are broad. There is nothing this team of exceptional professionals can’t achieve, and the success they have been recognised for across a diverse range of industry sectors is worldclass. Everything they create is custom-designed with purpose and intent. There are no shortcuts, cookie cutter options, and most certainly no templates. Every project regardless of size and budget is approached with dedication and the same high-level approach only those with experience can achieve. Notably, one of redhotblue’s most significant projects was accomplished during the covid pandemic thanks to the team’s ability to change gear and embrace technology. It was a charity event that is typically held in an offsite location to a physical audience of 1,000, but the redhotblue team adapted this to a broadcast across the nation to five-times that number! Also during the pandemic in particular, the agency noticed how non-experienced people have been feeling they have the capability to run their own social media channels. It seems the reality in most instances is there is a distinct lack of strategy and marketing acumen to approaching social media in this way. While the pandemic did have an impact on the digital landscape and more specifically social media, the agency found that it mainly benefited. Jody says, “The benefits to our industry have been phenomenal and have allowed opportunity that otherwise would have been out of reach in previous decades.” Now, the redhotblue team is focused on the future and is incredibly excited about expansion into new locations across the nation. Jody tells us more about what’s to come: “Sharing the wealth of knowledge and expertise we have fine-tuned during 25 years in business with clients is our focus. Helping businesses reach their full potential through marketing with a purpose and working with a team that has a keen sense of seeing beyond and the rungs on the board.” Company: redhotblue Contact: Jody Lee Euler Email: [email protected] Website:

Best Student Support & Tutoring Service Provider 2023 There’s no one, true, perfect way to teach people. We’re all individuals, and everyone absorbs information differently. What works for one person is not guaranteed to work for everyone else. The Better Multisensory Learning Centre (BetterMSL) fundamentally understands this, and has built its reputation around catering to the needs of the individual student. On the back of its deserved success in the programme, we spoke with Director Alexie Better to find out more. The education world isn’t built for those that have learning difficulties, regardless of what those difficulties are or how they present themselves. That’s true for the world over, with a shocking lack of investment in services that cater to those that struggle to keep pace with others around them. Working primarily with individuals presenting with speech and language delays, autism spectrum disorders and attention deficit disorders, BetterMSL has become a stalwart in an industry that is sorely needed, as Alexie explains further. “The Better Multisensory Learning Centre (BetterMSL) is a professional tutoring service that uses a wide variety of academic techniques and learning tools to teach reading and writing to students experiencing learning difficulties including those with Dyslexia and Dysgraphia. Our Centre integrates a range of diverse teaching methods engaging the visual, auditory and kinaesthetic neural pathways to support learning. Our teaching methodology is a systematic and cumulative process exploring language and numeracy instruction, with each lesson flexible and individualised for every student.” “Our Centre’s core aim is to help and assist all struggling readers, writers and learners to become confident and independent so they may achieve future success.” Saying all of that, there are promising movements towards a more inclusive mindset being embraced by the greater education world. The pandemic, for instance, certainly highlighted a vast difference in terms of how people of all ages and abilities learn best. There is no ‘one way fits all’ cookie cutter approach, and we’re currently seeing more options open up for those that find the current system lacking – but those options are relatively few and far between at the moment. As it stands then, BetterMSL is certainly acting as a pacesetter in this developing landscape, marking the path for others to follow in its footsteps. On this theme, Alexie offers more insight into the techniques the company uses. “At the Better Multisensory Learning Centre we use a range of multisensory and multidisciplinary approaches to support student learning, these include incorporating the use of colour, using tactile equipment such as sand, the explicit teaching of the phonetic sounds used within the English language and associated spelling rules. Tutoring centres in Australia and globally rarely incorporate the use of these sensory tools to support learning. The Better Multisensory Learning Centre also engages psychologists, speech pathologists and other allied health professionals to support these students with addressing learning concerns. “The Better Multisensory Learning approach is to provide students experiencing learning difficulties with individualised Jan23102 learning plans that incorporate multisensory techniques and explicit teaching. The individual learning plans take into account the student’s particular learning difficulties in relation to the curriculum that they are being taught in the classroom at school.” It perhaps goes without saying, but BetterMSL has found enduring success through its team. Each tutor approaches their work with a passion for teaching, which shines through in the efficacy of their techniques, and ultimately, in the results that their students achieve. “The tutors who are apart of Better Multisensory Learning, specialise in understanding the students’ different learning styles. Each child is unique and different and if they are struggling to learn, that could be due their neurological disorder which, thereby understanding different learning conditions can aid the students in their learning development. “At Better Multisensory Learning, we believe that anyone can learn, no matter what their learning challenge. All our staff understand that children, teenagers, parents, and adults struggle not only with learning but also socially and emotionally. With the level of understanding and support we provide to our clients and students, many feel valued and supported and not alone in their learning journey,” Alexie adds. The future of BetterMSL is marked through a dedication to continuation – a continuation of its services, and building on its already robust foundation to provide an expansive offering that caters to all who seek its expertise. All in all, this year will prove to be a crucial time for the company as it looks to collaborate with more schools and organisations to deliver its services to those that need it. Alexie discusses the future of BetterMSL in her closing comments. “Our goal is to engage with and support professionals outside of our centre including psychologists, therapists, aides and teachers for them to assist students with learning difficulties by sharing with them new techniques and strategies to support students who are struggling with their learning. “It has been an absolute pleasure for the team at the Centre to assist many students to overcome their learning difficulties. At Better Multisensory Learning we get to see kids, see their selfesteem develop and for them to grow as valuable members of our community. We look forward to what this new year will bring.” Company: Better MultiSensory Learning Name: Alexie Better, Director Email: bettermsl@gmail. com Web Address: www. bettermultisensorylearning. Founded in 2015 and inspired by Thor, the godly defender of Asgard in Norse mythology, Azguard Security (Azguard) has built an indelible reputation in the Australian events space through a dedication to best practices. Following Azguard’s success in the awards programme, we spoke to Owner Joseph Oakes to find out more about its work, achievements, values and ethos. Security firms need to build a robust reputation for trustworthiness, commitment, diligence and credibility. After all, the industry relies on peace of mind – a client needs to be wholly confident that the security team has everything in hand, and they in turn can carry on doing what they do best, running the event. There’s a certain element of flying under the radar then when it comes to the very best security firms – those that work quietly in the background, tackling issues before they become an issue for the event organiser and attendees. Operating from its established Ballarat and Warrnambool base, Azguard has become one of the de facto leaders of the event security space. But it’s been a journey to that position over the last 8 years, defined to dedication and a commitment to the highest of standards, as Joseph explains in more detail. “Our commitment to reliability and lofty standards is made possible by the calibre of our people. We have built a team of positive, energetic, hardworking and respectful staff, led at management level by more than 50 years’ combined industry experience. “We are also committed to fostering an upbeat, positive and welcoming work environment. Integrity, professionalism, trust and credibility are at the core of our business. Our handselected, fully trained team has a high work ethic, and “can-do” attitude. Impeccable service and respect for every one of our customers is reflected by our diverse and loyal client base. We are a proud supporter of community organisations, LGBTQI+ events and a wide range of festivals.” By all regards, it is within event security that Azguard has made its name, with a standout track record for meeting all needs and requirements. “We provide industry-leading surveillance options, including a mobile CCTV camera trailer/command unit and accompanying standalone units incorporating technology such as high-level recording, facial and numberplate recognition. Our trained, respectful guards can monitor entry (bags, credentials) plus patrol grounds and premises to monitor attendees – ensuring smooth and safe running of events, concerts, conventions and parties. Guarding against theft plus unlawful, unruly or anti-social behaviour, our team caters to all scales of diverse events,” Joseph explains in more detail. Equally, compassion, professionalism, diligence and a strong work ethic pulses through Azguard. As a familyrun business, it understands the importance of team cohesion and communication in building a client-centric service that caters to the needs of its varied clientele, as Joseph continues to discuss. “Being a family-run business means inbuilt strong values and sense of care for our customers, backed by respect and appreciation for our staff. Our name reflects the way that we cover the A to Z of security, while also tapping into the legend of Thor, mythical defender of Asgard. “Accredited with ASIAL (Australian Security Industry Association), we strive for continued professional development and to stay up to date on the best technologies, talent, processes and procedures to ensure that we remain ‘cutting edge’ in our offerings and in the ability of our team. We also pride ourselves on being an equal opportunity employer and maintain strong links to our community, reflected by our sponsorship of the Rokewood Corindhap Football & Netball Club.” As it stands, Azguard’s team is swiftly growing on the back of an organic expansion. Naturally, all members of its team are fully qualified and expertly trained to work in the security industry, with – as aforementioned – a constant requirement to develop their skills on an ongoing basis. “We incorporate the latest technology and stay up to date with industry trends, enabling us to continue to raise the bar for security services in regional and metropolitan Victoria,” Joseph adds. Today, Azguard offers comprehensive services within the crowd control, static and armed guard, cash in transit, event security and surveillance sectors, with a noted ability to meet the highest of expectations for all clients. This is clearly evident within the company’s numerous positive testimonials, which showcase the compassion and ability of the entire Azguard team. Working alongside such clients as Mars, McDonald’s, Formula1 and Nando’s, Azguard has swiftly secured its position as one of the best security companies working in Australia, trusted by corporate giants and indie festivals alike. For this reason, and all those listed above, it is certainly a well-deserved winner of the title, ‘Best Event Security Guard Hire Company 2023’ in Victoria, with a future dedicated to further growth, enduring success, and, perhaps most importantly, happy clients.
