New FedEx Express Flight to Hanoi to Strengthen Access between Europe and Vietnam
New Route Connecting Hanoi to the FedEx Express Hub in Guangzhou, China brings Increased Possibilities for Trade between Europe and Vietnam
FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, is enhancing its services into and out of the Vietnamese capital, Hanoi, with the introduction of a new flight connecting the city to the FedEx Express Hub in Guangzhou, China.
This new route will significantly cut the delivery time between Europe and Vietnam and substantially improve transit times for all inbound flights to Hanoi. The European Union (EU) and Vietnam are currently finalizing a trade and investment agreement, which would serve to deepen the trade links between the two. Vietnam has become the EU’s second biggest trading partner in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) after Singapore and ahead of Malaysia, with trade worth 47.6 billion in 2017 .
The new FedEx Express route will use a dedicated Boeing B757 freighter flying four times a week to and from Hanoi. Vietnam exporters shipping from Hanoi will benefit from the best transit time for shipments to major business
