Welcome to Issue 4 of APAC Insider Magazine, bringing you the latest news and updates from across the Asia Pacific region. 

In recent news, on the 8th April, NetComm Wireless Limited was proud to announce it would be supplying the network access devices needed to connect homes and businesses to nbn™ Fibre-to-the-Curb (nbn™ FTTC), officially launched by NBN Co Limited (nbn). nbn™ FTTC is set to bring fibre-like speeds to a million Australian premises using world first reverse powered Distribution Point Unit (DPU) and Network Connection Device (NCD) technology developed by NetComm Wireless.

In this month’s issue, we discover more about Southern Cross Cables who owns the major telecommunications cable networks between Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and across the South Pacific to the United States of America that provides in excess of an estimated 50% of all internet connectivity out of Australia and New Zealand. We invited Craige Sloots to provide us with an overview of the company and its overwhelming success.

Also in this month’s edition, Annerleigh Luxury B&B is an award-winning B&B in the Thermal Alpine town of Hanmer Springs. We were fortunate enough to get an insight into the excellence of the venue from Lynn Brownlee, who runs the B&B alongside her husband Ian.

Elsewhere in this issue, DaDaABC, one of China’s leading K12 Online English Education Platforms, held the “DaDa Wonderland” 2018 Strategic Cooperation Conference in Beijing, announced its partnership with McGraw-Hill Education, a leading global education publisher, and officially launch “Wonders” with customised content for DaDaABC’s one-on-one online teaching classes. At the same time, DaDaABC established an exclusive strategic partnership with Mad Science, an international brand for children’s science education with a history of 33 years.

Lastly, KBR, Inc. announced on the 10th April 2018. it will continue to grow its business in Singapore. Supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), KBR will develop the Singapore office into its Asia Pacific Regional Center of Excellence for KBR Consulting, Digitalisation, LNG & Asset Management, Differentiated Infrastructure and its Government Services business, KBRwyle. For Digitalisation, KBR’s strategic alliance with IBM has created opportunities for a suite of integrated solutions for our clients that enable business transformation through digital reinvention.
