MAY 2016 ISSUE

Welcome to the latest issue of APAC Insider Magazine.

In this issue we profile one of the leading lights from our recently announced Maritime and Shipping Awards, Tall Ship Adventures, and explore their stunning and unique ship, The Royal Albatross, which is moored in Singapore harbour and provides the ideal location for a variety of occasions, including corporate teambuilding, networking events, private parties and even weddings.

Australia is becoming the destination of choice for firm’s looking to create an Asian base. We explore one such company, WorldRemit, and examine the ramifications of the firm’s choice of location.

Whilst Australia is fast becoming the APAC region’s corporate destination of choice, Malaysia is coming into its own in the biotechnology stakes, with a new collaboration with Oxford based biotechnology firm Oxford BioDynamics to examine the effect of diabetes on patients in Malaysia over a two year period.

Within the biotechnology sector, there is also news that Medidata has been selected by Shanghai Henlius Biotechnology to provide its industry-leading cloud based technology platform which will support the firm in their ongoing oncology study.

There are also exciting developments in Taiwan, as NCR Corporation enables E.Sun Bank to introduce the first ever financial kiosk solution, which will enable bill payment, statement printing, and notes exchange to ease counter queues.

We hope you enjoy this issue.
